Funding available through Skills development Scotland for SVQ level 3 Children and Young People.
  • Hello everyone,

MI-Technologies is an assessor company based within Glasgow covering Scotland. We currently have funding available for candidates aged 16-19 years and 20-24 years to undertake their SVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People. This is funded by Skills Development Scotland. Unlike many other training facilities, MI-Technologies assess candidates at their place of work. Upon successful application for funding an assessor will visit the candidate at their place of work for a few hours, once a month. This time allows for the candidate to be issued with work, talk to assessor of any problems regarding their study and for the assessor to carry out mandatory observations. This is a fantastic way to learn on the job with the candidate not having to leave work for a full day to attend a training centre; it's all completed in house.

There are certain requirement set by Skills Development Scotland, therefore an application would be completed between assessor, candidate and nursery manager/owner. This course assesses the candidates competence to carry out the role of a nursery practitioner and is equivalent to a HNC studied at college. The course is certified by the SQA who will issue the end certificate. The nursery must already have a candidate employed as MI-Technologies do not recruit.

If you would like further information on the course, please do not hesitate to contact the office on 0141 440 1059.

    Kind Regards

    Ashleigh
    Children and Young People Assessor
